With only one day of school behind me, I missed the next one to climb. After doing the Spearhead the previous weekend, I was not looking forward to the coming semester. Slalok
On April 10 my dad, my dog and I left our house. It was a cloudy day, but my dad thought that we would still be able to make it up Mt. Slalok. It is situated beside Mt. Matier and across from Mt. Joffre. It is in many photos of people who hike the Joffre Lakes trail, the coastal equivalent of Mt. Victoria at Lake Louise. We reached the trail head of the Joffre Lakes at 9:45. First Ski of the Season
Yesterday, October 30, 2016, I went skiing. I’m so excited that I got the chance to ski this early in the season. My family, (my dad, my mom, my younger sister and me) set out in the morning. We drove from our house, up the Duffy lake road and to the Joffre Lakes parking lot. We hiked up to the third lake with our skis on the side of our bags and our ski boots inside them.
