Vantage Peak

I found a new favourite view on January 27th. My dad, my mum and I left our house Saturday morning for the duffy. At the trailhead parking lot for Cerise Creek we counted 15 cars. Our goal was to summit Vantage Peak. I had previously skied on the lower flank and my mum and dad had been to the top in the 90s. Cayoosh Mountain

On January 14th 2019, I was able to stand on top of a mountain that I have wanted to for a long time. Cayoosh mountain. Mt. Rohr

January 7th held the best skiing I’ve had since spring of 2017. In the days leading up to it my dad and I were looking at the weather forecasts and avalanche bulletins to try and plan a great day. The weather looked like it would be sunny and cold, but the avalanche ratings were considerable. Not Quite Wonderland

On the second day of 2019 I set out on my first day ski touring of the year. My dad and I left our house at 9am and drove down the road for less than five minutes. Arriving at the Spetch Creek Forestry Road it was really neat to be going to a place so close to home. We hopped on our old snowmobile and set off up the road. Clothing Presentation at MEC

On Thursday October 4th 2018 I had been invited to do a presentation at MEC North Vancouver. It would be about clothing, specifically while trekking to Everest Base Camp. Though I have never been to Everest Base Camp, or even Asia at all, I do know a thing or two about how to dress on an expedition.
