Today I am driving to the airfield that will fly me to the literal base of my dream. I am attempting to become the youngest person to summit Mt. Logan, the tallest mountain in Canada. I would never have come this far without the people who have supported me. I am so thankful for everyone who has encouraged me. A big thanks to MEC, Nomad Nutrition, Peak Performance, Jia Condon and Mountain Berry Landscaping. Mt. Rainier

For my last training trip for Mt. Logan I knew I would be going to Mt. Rainier. Mt. Rainier is the tallest point in the state of Washington, it is also considered an active volcano. We climbed the first hill with a crowd, there were 15+ people hiking up to the east col of Blackcomb. On the col my mum and my sister marvelled at the view of the mountains.

I pointed out to Anna where we … Read more

Slalok

On April 10 my dad, my dog and I left our house. It was a cloudy day, but my dad thought that we would still be able to make it up Mt. Slalok. It is situated beside Mt. Matier and across from Mt. Joffre. It is in many photos of people who hike the Joffre Lakes trail, the coastal equivalent of Mt. Victoria at Lake Louise. We reached the trail head of the Joffre Lakes at 9:45. Soon after that we left the empty parking lot. It was fairly clear as we crossed the first lake and ascended to … Read more
